We spend a week in Falmouth as we need to get the dinghy outboard fixed some spares for the main engine. Also our Auntie Sarah and Uncle Rupe with our cousins Ben and Finn live there so it was great fun to catch up with our cousins. Finn is very cute and mum says that he is the same as Ruiairí was when he was 2!

We have fun sailing in a dinghy race and I won first prize and I got a trophy.

We also go to a really good water park and went wake boarding and played races on the inflatable castle, mum fell in lots and Dad nearly wrecked his back.

One night we stayed overnight with Ben and Finn and Mum and Dad went back to Danu, they got stuck in the mud! I’m glad we weren’t there!

On the last night Ben Finn Sarah and Rupe sailed to the same anchorage as us and rafted alongside, that means they tied up next to us. We had burgers – yum. Next day we wave lots of goodbyes and head off to France.

There were lots of ships on the crossing to France and mum said we were crossing shipping lanes and we had to watch ever 15 minutes for ships as they move fast.

I stayed up with mum until 2 in the morning on watch, we had a great wind and we were sailing at over 6kts, the stars were really bright and we could clearly see the milky way.

Then mum pointed out the lighthouse far off, it was coming from the Island of L'Oeussant, that is in the North of France. I was tired so I went to bed and then Dad took over and when I woke up we were in France!
